Make A Cloche

HERE is a video on how to make a cloche using rabbit fencing.   Here is a summary:  

Items Needed: 

• Tools:  Wire Cutters, Needle Nose Pliers, J-Clip Pliers

• Materials:

  • Rabbit Fencing - 14 gauge, galvanized, 2" x 4" rectangles

  • Wire Cage J-Clips

Fabricate Cloche:

• • Based on desired diameter (d) of cloche, cut the length (l) wire fencing (l = d x 3.14); leave top arm but cut off the others.

  • Cut height of fence to 3 rectangles (4" x 3 = 12") + legs (to insert into the ground)

  •  Bend top arm around other end using needle nose pliers to create an enclosure

  • Use J-clips at each rectangle to complete the enclosure

  • If desired, partially close the top:

    • 1/4 turns at bottom row

    • 1/2 turns at middle row

    • S-turns at top row

    • Discard galvanized steel in the garbage
